PSSI Technicians and Engineers receive Maxon® training on their new Smartfire™ Intelligent Combustion Control System. The new control system is pre-programmed to automatically operate both the gas and combustion air settings and to provide maximum fuel efficiency and minimize emissions over the burner operating range for new applications or by integrating with existing burner systems. Additionally, system performance data is provided real-time and is capable of being captured and monitored remotely to facilitate trouble-shooting and reduce down-time. Pollution System Solutions is committed to continuous education regarding energy efficiency, energy recovery and low NOx emissions. By seeking and evaluating these new technologies, PSSI can provide the best support and solutions to our customers.

Pollution System Solutions was selected to provide a new 40,000 SCFM high efficiency Thermal Recuperative Oxidizer to support increased production requirements at a Midwest manufacturing facility. Although, energy efficiency was a major concern, a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer was not appropriate for this application due to potential for particulate blockage of the media. The Oxidizer included a secondary Heat Exchanger to recover energy for use in another production process. Many other energy saving features were incorporated and the system was designed to reduce fuel consumption by more than 50% compared to a typical Thermal Recuperative Oxidizer of the same size. Pollution System Solutions always works closely with each of our customers to understand their requirements and implement the solution which best meets their needs.

We are pleased to announce that Stacy Larson has joined us as a Senior Project Engineer based in Wisconsin. Stacy has over 12 years of experience in the design, development, and project management of industrial air control equipment and systems. He has excellent experience with Thermal Oxidizers, Dryers and Dust Collection equipment and is effective in managing capital projects from concept through engineering to completion.

We are pleased to announce that Gary Unke has joined us as the Director of Engineering as well as the General Manager – Phoenix Operations. Gary will be based in the Phoenix area and is responsible for centralized engineering requirements and for developing a Phoenix branch operation. Gary has over 30 years of experience in the design, development, sales and project management of environmental control and correction equipment and systems. He has expertise in soil remediation and off-gas treatment, thermal and catalytic oxidation, soil incineration, wet particulate scrubbers, dry particulate collection, wet chemical absorption scrubbers, carbon adsorption/regeneration, heat and energy recovery.

Son is to be based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area and will provide sales and marketing support within the region and will also spear-head our growth in specified markets. Son brings along an impressive resume as well as a great deal of industrial sales experience allowing Pollution Systems Solutions to further improve support to our West Coast customer base.
