Ceramic Media Replacement

Over time the performance of the ceramic media may deteriorate and create significant capacity limitations or major system inefficiencies. If poor performance continues to persist after a bake-out, it may be necessary to replace the media. The primary evidence that the media needs replacement is either high pressure drop across the bed or low temperature changes across the media. High pressure drop may indicate that the media bed has become blinded or that the media has begun to disintegrate. Lower than expected temperature changes may be due to channeling in the media bed. We are able to assess your situation and determine the appropriate course of action.

Should a media replacement be necessary, Pollution System Solutions will supply new media and manage the removal and replacement of the existing media at your site. We will perform the media Bake-Out, remove the old media bed, fully inspect the equipment, carefully build a new media bed and oversee the start-up of the system.

Pollution System Solutions offers a variety of alternative Ceramic Medias. Whether Random Packing or Monolith we are able to aid you in choosing the appropriate media for your needs. Random packing is available as Raschig Rings, Saddles, Triangles, Balls and Mini Rings.

For companies looking to expand their process without the expense of additional equipment, low pressure drop (LPD) random packed saddles may be option to increase your system capacity by as much as 20%.
